EnviroEd

EnviroEd

It starts with a connection, naturally

We believe that children have an innate affinity for the natural world. We want to foster this passion and interest, and integrate it into their day-to-day learning in all subject areas, including math, language arts, science, and social studies. Our goal at EnviroEd is to help our children become the next generation of thoughtful, creative, and inspired green leaders.

For 25 years, Clean EnviroEd has worked to build the environmental capacity of Nova Scotia’s students and teachers by delivering math, science, and language arts curriculum through the lens of environmental issues including energy, water, and climate change.

By tapping into the strong connection children feel towards animals, our curriculum and puppet show productions turn the classroom into a forest glen, a river bed, or a wind farm, while our characters invite children to learn about empathy, leadership and problem solving.

We recognize that teachers work hard to meet educational goals, so our programs are curriculum-aligned for each age group to facilitate smooth integration into the classroom. Our Clean Energy and Clean Water Schools engage students across the province to help develop the next generation of environmental leaders.  And Eddie the Puppet’s Road Tours are a perennial hit.

We hope that our workshops and productions provide a vital way to see all the different things that children can do right now – on their own, in their schools and with their families.

Check out our resources for teachers, and contact us to see what we else EnviroEd can do for your students.
