In-Home Visits
The Environmental Home Assessment Program offers confidential and free in-home visits by a qualified assessor. During each visit, the assessor will do a visual inspection of your septic field and well, offer water conservation advice, provide you with a kit (see below), and discuss the health of your oil tank with you.
Each visit includes a kit with the following free items:
- up to a $100 rebate on your next septic tank pumping
- water quality sampling bottles
- water saving devices
- samples of environmentally friendly cleaners
- tips on septic and well maintenance
- a home oil tank system checklist
Homeowners and non-profit groups who qualify may be eligible to receive a $3,000 septic repair grant.
