Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up

Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up

*Important Note*

This is the first year that we are organizing both the Clean Across Nova Scotia campaign (one BIG cleanup on June 8 & 9, as part the worldwide ‘Let’s do it!’ movement) and the Great Nova Scotia Pick me up.  If it suits you, please consider organizing your annual cleanup around the June 8 & 9 action, as this kind of massive action is meant to bring groups from across the province and around the world together around the important issues of environmental stewardship and community care.  We will still help you with cleanups on other dates, if you are unable to participate in the June 8 & 9 cleanup, and only one registration is necessary for the two programs.

The Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up is a program developed and delivered by Clean Nova Scotia. Now celebrating its 19th year, the program has evolved into a year round initiative that aims to remove litter from our communities, parks and shorelines.

You can make your cleanup as big or as small as you like and everyone can take part. We rely on individuals, businesses, schools and community groups to keep our province beautiful. Clean Nova Scotia only asks that you take care of the garbage you collect and be sure to send in your completed data card when you are done.

Cleanups are great for:

Great Nova Scotia Pick-Me-Up Group Shot

  • Getting together with friends and neighbours

  • Taking ACTION on stewardship in our communities

  • Appreciating our connection to the natural environment

  • Enjoying fresh air and exercise

  • Seeing the difference a bit of care can make!
